Malaria Consortium organizes the webinar: Arbovirus findings in Asia Pacific: A taste of things to come.
Date: 18th of February 2025
Time: 12 noon Bangkok time.
Arbovirus prevalence is increasing globally. Dengue is a particular concern, with nearly 400 million infections annually, of which as estimated 70% are in Asia. This webinar explores the situation in some countries in Asia, as examples of the regional situation. Climate Change, increasing cross-border movement of people for trade and tourism, increasing urbanization, all contribute to what will continue to be a rise in the threat that these afflictions pose to public health, including chikungunya, zika, and potentially even yellow fever.
