Africa Oxford Health Innovation Programme
Africa Oxford Health Innovation Platform AfOx-HIP, a University of Oxford platform supported by key researchers and led by the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx), is calling to join the Africa Oxford Health Innovation Programme .
The Programme offers fellowships to up to 15 innovators who have completed the virtual programme in innovation & entrepreneurship in health, and whose projects offer the greatest potential for successful venture development and significant health impact.
Eligibility:
The applicant must be:
- a national of an African country or have indefinite leave to remain in an African country
- domiciled in an African country in which they must be a legal resident and developing the proposed health innovation in their host country
- Applications from individuals or innovators leading small teams are eligible.
- Being an academic or a researcher is not a requirement. However, a robust foundation in the science or technology behind your innovation is expected.
The solution must be:
- a science-based innovation for disease prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment.
- This includes vaccines, diagnostics, medical devices, therapeutics and surgical devices.
The venture must be:
- have legal presence in domicile country. Founders that do not have a venture ( are yet to register a formal legal entity) are eligible.
