Clinical and epidemiological aspects of border malaria

Objectives

The project aims to evaluate and describe the clinical and epidemiological aspects of patients treated with malaria from border regions.

Principal Investigators / Focal Persons

Tania do Socorro Souza Chaves

Rationale and Abstract

International border areas are a major obstacle in the surveillance and control of malaria, especially in the Amazon, as they are more vulnerable to health, due to the international limit creating numerous barriers, whether legal, political, technical and operational for control of endemic diseases, for the treatment of patients and for the provision of health services.
