ASTMH Call for Applicants: Update Course in Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health

The American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (ASTMH) has developed this course as an update in the essential components of tropical medicine and travelers’ health. This two-day meeting is designed for physicians and for all other health care providers working in tropical medicine or travelers’ health. Speakers are internationally recognized authorities in the field.

  1. Work in clinical tropical medicine and travelers’ health and want to learn the most up-to-date science in the field.
  2. Spent some of your professional time in clinical tropical medicine and travelers’ health and are interested in obtaining an overview of the field.

Objectives:

  1. Prepare patients for overseas travel to Low/Low-Middle Income Countries (LMICs).
  2. Diagnose and treat patients who have become ill during overseas travel or are recently arrived immigrants and present with syndromes
    of fever and other pathologies.
  3. Diagnose and treat individuals living in the tropics and subtropics who are ill.
