AAS Q&A Webinar: The African Postdoctoral Training Initiative (APTI)

The  African Academy of Sciences (AAS) in partnership with the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) is inviting you for a webinar on the African Postdoctoral Training Initiative (APTI). This webinar will aim to address questions from prospective applicants.

Date: Wednesday September 14, 2022

Time: 16:00-17:00 EAT

Location: Online

APTI Fellows are trained and supported to become scientific leaders who can advocate for increased research and innovation projects in Africa. This is done through four-year postdoctoral fellowships where APTI Fellows are placed in various laboratories of the NIH Institutes or Centers (i.e., Intramural Research Program) for two years before returning to their home institutions in Africa for another two years of research.

The APTI call is open to African researchers with a relevant doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, MD, MBBS) awarded no more than 7 years before September 2022.
