WHO Call for Applications: Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG) membership

The World Health Organization (WHO) Global Malaria Programme (GMP) is accepting applications from malaria experts to be considered for membership on the Malaria Policy Advisory Group.

At least 2 experts will be selected for the 2022 rotation and will be asked to attend the next MPAG meeting on 6–8 October 2021 as observers, the meeting is currently anticipated to be virtual. Formal commitments will start in January 2022. Applications may be retained to consider for future rotations.

Functions:

  1. Appropriate malaria policies and standards based on data from malaria programme implementation by Member States and malaria control partners as well as reviews of the best available evidence;
  2. Engagement of WHO in malaria-related initiatives;
  3. Major issues and challenges to achieving global malaria goals; and
  4. Identification of priority activities to address identified challenge
