RBM Call for Applications: Qualitative research consultancy services for malaria innovation research
The UNOPS Geneva Office, acting as the hosting agency of the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership to End Malaria, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced entity referred herein as “supplier”, to conduct a qualitative research to capture the views of national level stakeholders from malaria endemic countries whose work is relevant to the development and access of innovations in the fight against malaria (hereinafter referred to as ‘Services’) for the period of April – September 2020.
Focusing on Nigeria, the RBM Partnership is seeking a supplier to support to engage these malaria innovation constituencies by:
- Conduct structured interviews (e.g. via teleconference) with stakeholders from each of the constituency groups to identify best practices, challenges, and bottlenecks in the research, development, and scale-up processes for malaria innovations in their national context.
- Solicit recommendations for sub-national, national, and international processes and procedures that support the financing, forecasting, procurement, supply management, and delivery of innovative products.
- If applicable, differentiate challenges and recommendations by product type: e.g. medicine, vaccine, diagnostic, vector control
- Examine the role of innovative financing and surveillance in promoting the development and scale up of innovations.
- Explore successes and failures in the generation of demand for malaria and other health products and services, addressing the roles played by affected communities, community structures, the health system, and the private sector.
