Grand Challenges Explorations now accepting proposals, through May 13, 2015

Grand Challenges Explorations (GCE) has opened application Round 15, and proposals for the six topics listed below are being accepted online through May 13, 2015.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Grand Challenges Explorations is a staged grant initiative where initial grants are for USD $100,000 and successful projects are eligible to receive a follow-on grant of up to USD $1million. Proposals are solicited twice a year for an expanding set of global health and development topics. Applications are only two pages, and no preliminary data is required. Applicants can be at any experience level; in any discipline; and from any organization, including colleges and universities, government laboratories, research institutions, non-profit organizations and for-profit companies.
