Malaria immunity and vaccines

Objectives

The aim of this project is to advance the development of highly effective malaria vaccines through

  1. defining mechanisms and targets of human immunity to malaria to establish a rational basis for vaccine design
  2. advancing the development of lead candidates and promising new candidates and combinations
  3. advancing vaccine platforms that induce potent protective immune responses
  4. developing and validating urgently-needed immunological assays for vaccine development and testing
