ICGEB Call for Applications: Course on Latin American Biology of Parasitism by ICGEB
The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally, therefore in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur of Montevideo (IP Montevideo) are offering a course on Latin American Biology of Parasitism (LatAmBoP 2020), from the 22nd of June to the 3rd of July, 2020 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
This course will cover important aspects of modern research on apicomplexan parasites and will be divided in lectures given by leading experts in each field, and two distinct experimental moduls. The focus of lectures is broad and intends to be multidisciplinary covering relevant topics on pathogenesis and treatment of apicomplexan diseases, molecular and cellular biology of apicomplexan parasites, bioinformatics and database mining, immunology and animal models, genotyping and drug discovery/drug resistance.
- Researchers holding a BSc or equivalent in a relevant field (biology, biochemistry, medicine, veterinary medicine, public health or epidemiology).
